                | | | | David
Binch lives and makes pots in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He
has a small home studio and fires his pots in a kiln using mains
gas. He makes most of his pots using a potter's wheel and fires
them up to Cone 10 (1300°C) stoneware temperature with reduction
during the latter part of the firing, total time of firing 12
to 14 hours. David is self taught and is greatly influenced by the pots,
writings and the art of Bernard Leach and his life long friend
Japanese potter Shoji Hamada. He places his own works very much
in an Anglo Oriental Tradition of making and of seeing.
