MICHAEL POSNER is a chemical technologist by training - a chemist among engineers and an engineer among chemists!! He spent 30 years in the food industry in various functions followed by 10 years in UNICEF. He has lived and worked in the UK, Israel, New Zealand, Denmark, Holland and the US. Taking early retirement he returned to London in 1994. Michael enrolled on a five day pottery course and never looked back. He has studied with Dan Kelly & Jonathan Switzman in Citi Lit; Pamela Leung & Kenny Menczer in Kingsway College and has attended workshops with Phil Rogers, David Leach and Ken Matsuzaki. He works full time as a potter first at Dartmouth Park Parkway in Archway and since 2008 has had a studio in the Manor Farm Site in Ruislip.

A large dish glaze in a tenmoku with nuka glaze filling the well. Standing on a four footed base ring.

WINE CUP & STAND
Wine-cup and stand, stoneware and glazed in a rich kaki like glaze. This a wonderful example of the Korean and Chinese form. Very few examples have survived from the past. I really like this piece by Michael a lot!
